Specific Responsibilities

Review new and existing IT projects/ideas, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural roadmaps.

Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex application development and gain buy-in for all development plans.

Consults with senior IT management on the design of moderately complex systems and projects. May consult with leadership on emerging technologies. Supports existing business systems applications from an enterprise architecture perspective working with the solutions architects for each application.

Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.

Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a Global technology stands policy, build roadmaps and define application end of life scenarios.

Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of application development effort and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness time to market

Candidate requirements

Knowledge of Java, .NET and Cobol languages, working knowledge of web services and middleware technologies, Linux/Windows, Virtualization/VMWare, performance management, application lifecycles, BPM, datawarehousing, data architecture and BI tools.

Strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units.

Extensive IT related experience. Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree is a plus.

Financial sector experience a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to function as the business to IT liaison

Must be a self starter with ability to work remotely.

Escalates serious issues/challenges to more senior management.

Possesses in-depth knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, the enterprise and industry.

Job Description: Web Business Analyst
Core Job Purpose
The role is Web Business Analyst, reporting in to the Head of Products. The role will be approx 70% working within the Websites Team and approx 30% to wider Business Analysis for further web product development.
The Websites Team forms a critical part of the Online function, planning, managing and delivering the websites as well as measuring performance of Group and website delivery. As a Business Analyst, this role is essential in letting us fulfil our business requirements. The role is also critical in ensuring that an appropriate level of support and stability is delivered to our website project.
The Websites Team:
• Is responsibility for the continued development of Online Products, Provides Reporting, Analytics and Business Intelligence across online portfolio
• Owns and drives a number of key projects that aim to directly improve product performance
• Executes bespoke analysis on an ad hoc basis to answer critical business questions across the Group
Job Description
Websites (70%):
• Provide business analysis and support to two critical projects in the Websites team:
• Develop and provide regular management and operational reporting. Provide insight into the performance of the website product
• Carry out bespoke in-depth analysis to help improve efficiency in the fulfillment process
• Work with management to set KPI’s and targets across the business on a quarterly basis
• Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends to help shape the websites strategy
Wider Business Analysis (30%):
• Carry out bespoke in-depth analysis on critical business questions on products and markets.
The successful candidate will be working in a high calibre team, with direct operations exposure from day one.
Candidate Requirements
Functional knowledge & skills
• Intelligent and strategic thinker
• Strong background in analytics and business intelligence
• Strong Experience working with Microsoft Excel. Experience working with large data sets, and ideally will have experience with data management tools (such as Microsoft Access)
• Pro-active in drawing out the “So What?” from analysis
• Preferably web-savvy with some experience working on online projects

Job title: Lead Business Analyst
Purpose of the role: Lead the business analysis effort across a large business change programme including running workshops and other meetings, gathering and documenting current and future state processes.
Need to do
Key tasks:
1. Planning
Gain general understanding of the current state of the business processes and workflows.
Gain in-depth understanding of the programme objectives and desired outcomes
Work with the programme manager to refine the approach for conducting the business analysis across the programme
Plan the analysis work required across the programme working with the programme manager and the project managers.
2. Lead the Business Analysis
Lead the work to create the skeleton for the principle workflow required
Lead the work to review and flesh out the workflow to the level of “implementation readiness”
Support the work to plan business side testing across the workflow and business processes
Support the work, the plan and execute workflow implementation
Identify issues and solutions, and escalate to the Programme Manager where appropriate
3. Write and review documentation
Set the documentation standards for business process & workflow documentation across the programme
Write or review all business process and workflow documentation before final business approval
Certify the all agreed documentation is in place to the agreed standards before implementation commences
Regularly report back on the programme progress to the Business Management Group
4. Other key tasks
Act as an example and de-facto mentor for Business Analysts and SME’s working with the programme

Attention to details and follow-through on tasks
Excellent communication and negotiation skills within and outside project teams
Experience:
5+ years total experience, including at least 2+ years in a analysis leadership role

The Programme Director will be responsible for Process Excellence within Operations and Technologies for the execution of improvement initiatives utilising proven process excellence tools, and industry leading strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Analysis and Recommendation, Facilitation, Metrics and Reporting, and Medium Term Projects. The incumbent will consult with Operations and Technology leaders to identify, quantify, and prioritize process improvements opportunities, assuring linkage to business priorities. He/she will manage cross-functional project teams to execute initiatives targeted at standardizing and optimizing global O&T processes.

Specifically

1. Coaching:
Act as a mentor, coach, and technical leader in the completion of Analysis, Facilitations, Metrics and Reporting, and Projects using proven process excellence methodologies. Act as a mentor, coach, and technical leader to external departments in the completion of process excellence initiatives using proven process excellence methodologies.

2. Strategic:
Acting in a consultative role, assist O&T leadership and process owners by performing process and data analysis, summarizing findings and delivering specific recommendations and measurements to achieve desired results Facilitation of departmental , organizational and cross functional teams to drive stakeholders to consensus and develop joint plans of actions to achieve unified organizational goals

3. Project Execution:
• Individually or by leading a team, eliminate specific defects and identify, document and deliver metrics proving positive change in operational capability • Individually or by leading a team develop ongoing metrics, reporting, and operational ownership for key operational processes enabling management to proactively monitor and respond to changes in process
Requirements
