Project Manager – Media Global Change Programme – Online Platform Migration

You will be required;
■Gain a detailed understanding of the proposed solution architecture and design
■Formalise the plans for the project(s) including scope, approach, budget, resources and requirements
■Manage one or more projects within the technology work stream including project planning and management and matrix management of project team(s)

Specific Responsibilities
Review new and existing IT projects/ideas, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural roadmaps.
Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex application development and gain buy-in for all development plans.
Consults with senior IT management on the design of moderately complex systems and projects. May consult with leadership on emerging technologies. Supports existing business systems applications from an enterprise architecture perspective working with the solutions architects for each application.
Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.
Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a Global technology stands policy, build roadmaps and define application end of life scenarios.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of application development effort and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness time to market
Candidate requirements
Knowledge of Java, .NET and Cobol languages, working knowledge of web services and middleware technologies, Linux/Windows, Virtualization/VMWare, performance management, application lifecycles, BPM, datawarehousing, data architecture and BI tools.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units.
Extensive IT related experience. Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree is a plus.
Financial sector experience a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to function as the business to IT liaison
Must be a self starter with ability to work remotely.
Escalates serious issues/challenges to more senior management.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, the enterprise and industry.

Job title: Lead Business Analyst
Purpose of the role: Lead the business analysis effort across a large business change programme including running workshops and other meetings, gathering and documenting current and future state processes.
Need to do
Key tasks:
1. Planning
Gain general understanding of the current state of the business processes and workflows.
Gain in-depth understanding of the programme objectives and desired outcomes
Work with the programme manager to refine the approach for conducting the business analysis across the programme
Plan the analysis work required across the programme working with the programme manager and the project managers.
2. Lead the Business Analysis
Lead the work to create the skeleton for the principle workflow required
Lead the work to review and flesh out the workflow to the level of “implementation readiness”
Support the work to plan business side testing across the workflow and business processes

3. Write and review documentation
Set the documentation standards for business process & workflow documentation across the programme

Core Job Purpose
The role is Web Business Analyst, reporting in to the Head of Products. The role will be approx 70% working within the Websites Team and approx 30% to wider Business Analysis for further web product development.
The Websites Team forms a critical part of the Online function, planning, managing and delivering the websites as well as measuring performance of Group and website delivery. As a Business Analyst, this role is essential in letting us fulfil our business requirements. The role is also critical in ensuring that an appropriate level of support and stability is delivered to our website project.
The Websites Team:
• Is responsibility for the continued development of Online Products, Provides Reporting, Analytics and Business Intelligence across online portfolio
• Owns and drives a number of key projects that aim to directly improve product performance
• Executes bespoke analysis on an ad hoc basis to answer critical business questions across the Group
Job Description
Websites (70%):
• Provide business analysis and support to two critical projects in the Websites team:
• Develop and provide regular management and operational reporting. Provide insight into the performance of the website product
• Carry out bespoke in-depth analysis to help improve efficiency in the fulfillment process
• Work with management to set KPI’s and targets across the business on a quarterly basis
• Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends to help shape the websites strategy
Wider Business Analysis (30%):
• Carry out bespoke in-depth analysis on critical business questions on products and markets.
The successful candidate will be working in a high calibre team, with direct operations exposure from day one.
Candidate Requirements
Functional knowledge & skills

Project Manager, Business Change
Management of series of projects as part of the Digital Change Programme, coordination of sub-projects, discussion of resourcing and reporting back on progress to the Digital Change Programme Manager

Key tasks:
1. Project & workstream planning
• Gain a detailed understanding of the proposed solution design, and propose modifications and extensions of this as appropriate within the designated workstream
• Work with the Programme Manager, Project Managers and other key stakeholders to define the scope of each sub-project and to set key priorities and timescales
• Drive the work to define business process and business change plans as part of the projects assigned
• Create project briefs and initiation documents where required

2. Project management
• Manage a series of linked projects within the business change work stream including project planning and management and matrix management of project team(s)
• Additional responsibilities will include: requirements gathering, maintenance of project documentation, project and resource scheduling, time tracking, risk assessment, issue resolution, estimation of the costs and benefits and other project management disciplines
• Feed information, as needed, into the Portfolio-level PMO dashboard for consolidated PPM (Portfolio and Project Management) reporting
• Monitor and control the availability and allocation of Project Managers and other required internal resources for the programme
• Regularly review progress of the sub-projects with Project Managers and other stakeholders
• Identify issues and solutions, and escalate to the Programme Manager where appropriate

3. Project tracking
• Set and track project metrics and report back regularly to the Programme Manager
• Coordinate Project Managers to create and distribute status reports on the sub-projects
• Maintain a summary Programme-level ‘Risks and issues’ log and ensure timely resolution of actions
• Organise and chair regular meetings of the Digital Change Steering Group
• Regularly report back on programme progress to the Business Management Group

3. Other key tasks
• Act as example and de-facto mentor for project managers working within the work stream
• On occasion, as required, act as deputy/stand-in for the programme manager
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Formal project or programme management qualifications desired: PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent
Skills/knowledge:
• Proven project management and organisational skills
• Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and tools
• Meticulous organiser of time and tasks, but still able to keep the big picture in clear view
• Attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills within and outside project teams
• MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Experience:
