GT is a large organization touching nearly every aspect of service delivery, including; product development; client project delivery; infrastructure operations; global service delivery; information services, strategic sourcing, and enterprise security, risk and compliance into a single end-to-end organization.
My client is now recruiting for an Enterprise Architect to support the GT organization in delivering their technology roadmap and blueprint for high performance.
Specific Responsibilities
Review new and existing IT projects/ideas, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural roadmaps.
Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex application development and gain buy-in for all development plans.
Consults with senior IT management on the design of moderately complex systems and projects. May consult with leadership on emerging technologies. Supports existing business systems applications from an enterprise architecture perspective working with the solutions architects for each application.
Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.
Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a Global technology stands policy, build roadmaps and define application end of life scenarios.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of application development effort and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness time to market
Candidate requirements
Knowledge of Java, .NET and Cobol languages, working knowledge of web services and middleware technologies, Linux/Windows, Virtualization/VMWare, performance management, application lifecycles, BPM, datawarehousing, data architecture and BI tools.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units.
Extensive IT related experience. Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree is a plus.
Financial sector experience a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to function as the business to IT liaison
Must be a self starter with ability to work remotely.
Escalates serious issues/challenges to more senior management.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, the enterprise and industry.
