On behalf of my client, a very successful high-street retailer, I am looking for a Project Manager and also a Functional Business Analyst for an end-to-end ERP Financials (MS Dynamics AX) Implementation.

Both roles will require working very closely, with both internal stakeholder project teams, (to include – CFO, Senior Finance Managers and Group Finance departments) and also with the external 3rd party ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX Implementation team to ensure the customised AX modules meet business expectations.

Ideally you will have previous ERP Implementations experience, throughout the entire cycle, with MS Dynamics AX 2009 or AX2012, preferably with a finance background and qualification (Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA or similar)

For both positions – my client will also look at a solid Project Manager and Business Analyst from any other ERP Financials Implementation background such as; Epicor, Agresso, Axapta, SunSystems, SAP, JDE / JD Edwards, Oracle, Sage, IFS, CedarOpenAccounts etc

As Project Manager you will;

  • Take responsibility for determining the project timescales, approach and resources required
  • Drive the team and available resources in line with this plan.
  • Creation of the Project Plan, Requirements, UAT and all other project documentation in line with agreed templates.
  • Ensure daily and weekly measurement of the plan against actuals, taking corrective measures where appropriate.
  • Instigate and manage processes for managing change to project requirements.
    Report progress, achievements, highlight risks and issues. Detail next steps and actions to achieve project goals.
  • Manage escalations promptly and sensitively through to resolution
  • Manage and arrange the team members from a technical perspective
  • Complete project closure and produce project review documentation for internal distribution

As Business Analyst;

  • Extensive involvement with requirements capture and interpretation by the facilitation and running of group workshops and various stakeholder interviews
  • Analyse current business processes and procedures to identify gaps and areas to improve process
  • Documentation of the “as is” and “to be” business processes workflows/business rules
  • Support the Programme and Project Management team in driving forward the business process change requirements
  • Assist in the creation of the overall roadmap to help scope, identify and align the change programme priorities to the business objectives and timelines.
  • Demonstrable experience of business process workflows, customisation and implementation around finance modules.
